The visit called “The Origins” fits into the concept of scientific tourism and is especially aimed at scholars interested in deepening their knowledge about specific historical periods.

The visit is particularly relevant for those who wish to explore themes related to the Neolithic and megalithism, offering a unique opportunity to closely observe and study the remains and reconstructions of ancient settlements through rigorous scientific approaches.

During the visit, participants will have the opportunity to observe a Neolithic settlement that is currently being excavated and studied.

This archaeological work is being led by Manuel Calado and his team of specialists. Additionally, the visit includes an exploration of a replica of a Neolithic village.

This space was recreated by Manuel Calado using experimental archaeology techniques, with the aim of simulating life in a settlement over 7,000 years old. ~

This immersion provides an in-depth understanding of prehistory and the scientific methodologies used to uncover the ways of life of our ancestors.

You will have a special lunch with a unique menu : Acorn Stew from the Montado; Vegetable Bean Stew; Neolithic-Style Wild Boar; Veal Stew; Lamb Stew; Cow’s Trotters with Chickpeas; Farmer’s Pasta; Acorn Hamburger
