A Winery with History
Quinta do Olival da Murta is a traditional family-run agricultural estate developed over four generations. Located 80 km from Lisbon, near the Montejunto Mountain Range, it embodies the essence of rural spaces where, alongside grape and wine production, a variety of complementary activities have organically emerged over time. These activities form a rich and diverse unit, deeply rooted in history and traditional knowledge. Today, this legacy continues to teach us the importance of respecting nature and embracing environmentally sustainable production methods.
From its inception, this estate has been dedicated to grape and wine production. Benefiting from a climate influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and the nearby Montejunto Mountain Range, it is part of the “Lisbon Wine Region,” known for aromatic red wines rich in tannins, with great aging potential, as well as a diverse selection of fresh and well-balanced white wines. Serra Oca wines are crafted from Portuguese grape varieties, following certified organic viticulture since 2016.
The harvest is done manually, and the grapes are naturally fermented with indigenous yeasts, emphasizing time as a key factor in ensuring wine quality.
During this visit, a production expert will guide you through the winery, followed by a tasting of Serra Oca wines, paired with local products in a charming setting overlooking the Montejunto Mountain Range.
